Another thread about that? geez... you really want to hear that he will be into you one day...

FWB rarely turns into the real thing.. of course it could happen... but in that case, there is a mutual commitment sooner or later...

In your case, it's a one way thing... he's not interested unless you want sex only... but still you don't want to hear that... you want to believe that he will come back to you and you will live happily ever after...

It's NOT going to happen... I would be very surprised...

...i Specifically Asked For A Shy-guys Perspective...

I'm a former shy guy. Sure, a FWB can develop into a relationship. I remember a recent study -- an actual academic one -- and when I examined the statistics you have a 1-in-10 chance of a friends with benefits relationship developing into a romantic relationship.

Are you ok with a 10% chance? While most relationships do not work out or develop, generally you have a 50% chance of it developing. Why? Because by the time you develop feelings, through numerous dates (and I mean numerous, not OMG I love him after 4 dates), you'll probably have a good read on the person. You don't already have feelings and you are more likely to develop feelings alongside the guy, that is why I say 50%.

But 10%? If I have feelings, I'm not betting money on that considering the payout isn't all that high compared to what you can get in a year if you date other people.

Nothing would make me see her in a different light. If I saw her in that light I'd ask her "I want you to be my girlfriend."

A couple of FWB situations I had turned into the real thing. Not one of them lasted more than 2 years. They don't last because they start off wrong.
