jennyfur01 Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Well I just wanted to give some people hope, but also tell you to get on with your lives. My bf and I broke up the end of September/early October and I seriously thought we'd never get back together. I wanted to so bad, but he was mean to me and made it clear he wanted nothing to do with me. He even said he'd never date me again. Well I finally started to back off and he eventually came around on his own. We'd been spending time together now and then, and I got to spend New Years with him...then yesterday we got back together I can't tell you how happy I am. I know there's always a chance we'll break up again, but I have high hopes that it'll work out. I'm excited for this year, but I also know if we hadn't got back together I would have been okay eventually. Just hang in there if you've been dumped, or have dumped someone and feel like crap. I've been there. Cry, talk to someone, find a new hobby......but let yourself heal and if it's meant to be it'll be...if not you'll find what IS meant to be. Just make sure you love yourself first. At first he wouldn't talk to me...then i would talk to him a few times a week and see him occasionally, but we'd go back and forth between talking, and then not. I tried the NC but always failed...finally when I did it for 5 days or so he contacted me. It had been me doing all the contacting before that.

Mine dumped me in July and I blocked his phone number, email, myspace, everything -- haven't unblocked it since. Maybe I should, I don't know. He told me he couldn't date me because I wasn't a musician like he is, and I keep telling myself he's with another musician now and they're happy. But maybe he's decided writer/dancers aren't so bad, who knows? Good for you, I'm so happy for you. It's so nice to know there's hope.
