Trewsx11 Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 What passes for "dancing" nowadays is really just a bunch of drunk guys and girls grinding all over eachother on the dancefloor. My question is this: do you girls secretly enjoy guys coming up to you (assuming they are attractive guys) and rubbing/grinding all over you, or do you just grin and bear it because its expected?
sally4sara Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 It depends. When I go out dancing it isn't with the purpose of getting guys to rub up on me. It is to have fun with my friend or friends and dance like a mad woman. If a guy approaches me and tries to dance with me it is usually annoying. Far more often than not, the guy isn't there for the dancing so much as for the rubbing. This will get a guy shoved off of me or simply ignored till he leaves depending on his persistence level. If the guy can actually dance and behaves respectfully then a good time can be had.
Blue Eyed Brain Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I club ocassionally. I like to dance and do dance frequently. Not grind but dance. Although, if I'm with friends, I will grind. As for being picked-up; it is complimentary when a good looking male comes over to talk, but that's it. It's just to "try the person on." I don't go home with them, and on very rare ocassions would I release my digits. It's just to get out and have fun.

Umm to be honest if I am dancing with friends and a guy comes behind me and starts grinding on me I turn around and tell them no thank you. im just hangin out with friends.. hahah ive seen my friends dance on the dance floor and a guy would come up behind them and start dancing and grinding and they never turn around to see what each other looks like.. I am realy picky if I choose to dance .. other than that I just dance with friends and have a good time
Citizen Erased Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I don't tend to grind with anyone but my friends. I tend to actually dance, I find it less disgusting but usually I'm pretty drunk so yeah whatever. Even still, I have a bf, it is incredibly inappropriate for me to have some guy grinding on me. Except for one guy. But he's gay and I have known him for years

If you get a woman atracted to you, flinging her across the room by her hair could posibly be enjoyable.

My question is this: do you girls secretly enjoy guys coming up to you (assuming they are attractive guys) and rubbing/grinding all over you, or do you just grin and bear it because its expected? I have been clubbing for the last 10 years of my life, because I love to dance. I hate when drunk guys try to grind with me, or even touch me for that matter, unless I let them know it's ok. I don't understand why some guys think it's ok to grab you from behind and start grinding. it's sooo gross! What passes for dancing? Well it depends what kind of club you go to, and what type of music they play. Everyone has different styles.
Tyra Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Well, I don't do the whole grinding thing, because I have a man. But it is enjoyment if a nice looking guy comes over just to dance. But I can't stand it when a guy just brush up on me arrogantly or grab me like he knows me or whatever.
Rooster_DAR Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Most guys can't dance anyway, we are left with our charm to impress a woman.
blackbird Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I'm a frequent club-goer, but I pretty much always go with my fiance and we dance together, so I don't have men grinding up on me. When I have gone out dancing alone/when I was single, no, I didn't like when men would grind up on me and would avoid them, no matter how handsome. Especially the bad dancers. Okay, thinking back, there's been a time and two (over 13+ years of frequent clubbing) where I've danced closely with guys I didn't know, who were exceptionally good dancers and not overly disrespectful in their approach, but that's a rarity. I generally go to clubs where it's quite rare for men to rub up against women uninvited, though.
sveltskye Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Well, it kind of depends on just *how* dirty the "dirty dancing" is, at least for me. Probably how drunk I am, too. I have never done the kind of dancing where you're practically having orgasms on the floor- for example when the girl facing her back to the guy and grinding her ass against him. I find some of it kind of sickening. But I did, when I was single, I would engage in a little, a wouldn't say grinding, but dancing pretty close... ok, maybe a little rubbing/grinding. I did with my current boyfriend when I first met him, and we're still together 6 months later, so go figure. I didn't mind him dancing a little dirty with me, as long as he was a gentleman in other areas. However, I don't want to have virtual sex on the dance floor with someone I barely know. I have danced with a guy who really didn't dance dirty, and that was almost kind of awkward. He may have been shy or something, but I went clubbing with him a few times and he barely touched me at all... didn't give much of an impression that he was very interested.
