Bogun Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Why do people say this? I can think of a few reasons: 1. They want the freedom to hook up with different people when they feel like it. 2. They've come out of a relationship and arent ready for another one. 3. Emotional issues and afraid of getting hurt again. 4. Too busy with work/friends/etc 5. They dont want to say "i dont want to go out with you" so try to soften it by saying they dont want to be in a relationship. Are these the only reasons?

In my case, it's no. 1...

So i was at his place when he told me he wanted a relationship so i as a person i like him just don't want a relationship. From the point of view from a guy i don't know. A guy that had just got out of a LTR said he was not ready for a relationship so hmm i guess its a bit different?

They've come out of a relationship and arent ready for another one. because they're still hung up on the other girl But when a girl says it, #5, always, no doubt about it in my mind. Now the reasoning WHY they don't wanna go out with you... there's someone else they're more interested in at the moment, they just wanted to hook up with you and nothing more, etc, lots of sub-reasons
