tkgirl Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 can someone tell if you've viewed their myspace page? not that I'm doing any cyber-stalking.. not much! LOL but I was just curious... if I've never signed up for myspace but am maybe um.. checking on someone who does have a myspace page, is there a way for them to know I looked at it? I'm thinking no, but I'm not that computer savvy... thanks!
Citizen Erased Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 No. It only shows them that one more person has viewed their profile, there is no way of tracking it. This is the case for Myspace, not too sure about facebook, it confuses the crap out of me!
Trialbyfire Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 If the other person knows your IP address and has some form of IP tracker embedded in their page, then yes, they can tell. Beyond that, no. Since you don't have a myspace account, I'll assume you don't have a trakzor account.
jerbear Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Yes... having an embedded script one can get your IP, your browser information and potentially your general region. Depending on how well you secure your own system, you might even get owned. From the backend, everyone's IP address is logged; now is that IP legit, that is another story.
