SnapDragon Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 My boyfriend and I aren't actually broken up, but I thought this would be the best forum for this kind of thing. I just really need some advice... We've been dating for three years, and we are very close emotionally. He's my best friend. We are also each other's first love, and our first everything else too. The thing is, I don't know if the chemistry is as intense as it should be. I mean, I fell for him because he is so sweet and so kind, and cute, but I've never had that "rip his clothes off" feeling... The sex is good because we're in-tune with each other and we're both into trying new things, but he seems so much more into it than I am. I think it's strange that I'm not more turned on by him, especially since everything else in our relationship is so great. But honestly, it kinda feels like I have a really great friend more than a lover. It's so unfair... He's perfect for me in so many ways, and he says I make him so happy, but I don't feel that thrill when I think about him sexually. Why not? Is it really the horrible truth that you can be so close with someone and yet not be "the one" for each other? Has anyone else ever been in this situation? It's driving me crazy that we can't have that passion. Any advice would be really great. Thanks.
