Trialbyfire Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 unders, it doesn't matter that people know what they're getting themselves into. If you have sufficient proof that you're satisfied with, report it, whether it's to the store, so they can do what they need, or report it to the authorities.
Nemo Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 unders, it doesn't matter that people know what they're getting themselves into. If you have sufficient proof that you're satisfied with, report it, whether it's to the store, so they can do what they need, or report it to the authorities. I will bend over to that. It's your civil responsibility. I urge you to follow Trial's sage advice, and report it. You will feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your mind, and your conscience. The bastard deserves to be burnt at the stake. (Or maybe just remove his stake.)

johan Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 You could always follow your acquaintance and his friend into the bathroom, then rush in and suicide bomb them.
Pyro Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Any opportunity to get bent over... You can always count on Nemo to be behind you all the way.
Citizen Erased Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 You could always follow your acquaintance and his friend into the bathroom, then rush in and suicide bomb them. Behave yourself young man!
Nemo Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 You could always follow your acquaintance and his friend into the bathroom, then rush in and suicide bomb them. Great suggestion. They'd be too busy coming to notice you coming.
Trialbyfire Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 You can always count on Nemo to be behind you all the way. Behind me or behind you? unders, what do you want to do?
Pyro Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Behind me or behind you? unders, what do you want to do? If it were up to him, we would all be standing in line for him...backs facing him of course.
Storyrider Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 How about some anonymous graffiti on the bathroom wall?
Nemo Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 How about some anonymous graffiti on the bathroom wall? Now we're talking! Always use illustrations, where possible.
Saxis Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 How about some anonymous graffiti on the bathroom wall? On the very bottom of the stall door in small print.... "You are now schitting at a 45 degree angle!" Seriously Unders, I've been wracking my brain over this all night. I think TBF has the right idea though... at the very least report it to the authorities. I have a suspicion there might be some "intent" involved?
Nemo Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 On the very bottom of the stall door in small print.... "You are now schitting at a 45 degree angle!" :lmao: With all due respect.
Ariadne Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 What would you do? You can write in the bathroom walls, such and such has Aids. Ariadne
Nemo Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 You can write in the bathroom walls, such and such has Aids. I'm learning a lot about maturity. This place is so cool.
Ariadne Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 How about some anonymous graffiti on the bathroom wall? Ah, I had the same idea...
popey Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 unders, if you really believe that you have true info that this guy is infected an having unrotected sex w/o disclosure, i don't really think that a randomly placed remark on the bathroom wall will ease your conscience.
Saxis Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 unders, if you really believe that you have true info that this guy is infected an having unrotected sex w/o disclosure, i don't really think that a randomly placed remark on the bathroom wall will ease your conscience. I hope not... that's the reason I turned to a joke there. I was sure I heard something about people doing this, but you had to have proof that it was "intentional". Even an investigation would probably stop this guy in his tracks....
Author underpants Posted December 28, 2007 Author Posted December 28, 2007 Thanks guys, I think I might have a way to get the information to the correct person without having to run around and tell everybody. It will just take a little investigation on my end. He may already know? Then again, maybe not. ...and yes the authorties were notified of the incident. Moral of the story. Don't have sex in a public restroom with a stranger.
Trialbyfire Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Nicely done unders. HIV positive patients are documented by doctors and in different jurisdictions, are reported to a central authority, such as the CDC in the US. The authorities should know him by searching their database. Perhaps they can get more information from him directly, in order to find out if anyone else has unwittingly been exposed to the virus.
Nemo Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Moral of the story. Don't have sex I hope everyone gets the message. I'm on board.
sunshinegirl Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 HIV positive patients are documented by doctors and in different jurisdictions, are reported to a central authority, such as the CDC in the US. What happened to doctor-patient confidentiality? I thought reporting someone's health status, no matter what it is, is illegal.
Trialbyfire Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 (edited) What happened to doctor-patient confidentiality? I thought reporting someone's health status, no matter what it is, is illegal. Not for HIV. Edit - Here's an example for Rhode Island. If you refer to the form, it requires the patient's name. http://www.health.ri.gov/hiv/reporting.php Edited December 28, 2007 by Trialbyfire
Author underpants Posted December 28, 2007 Author Posted December 28, 2007 I really don't know how the patient/doctor/confidentiality thing is treated here and in the case of HIV. What I did find out is that although the authorities were notified there was no report filed, and no one was officially arrested. They swept it under the carpet. No one seems to really care as it does not affect them and he got away with it. I don't know if his little boyfriend realizes what he was exposed to. This makes my decision a little more difficult. I might be forced to just go down there and drop the knowledge bomb and let the chips fall where they may. I imagine this guy will just find another outlet for his activities, and that is kind of scary.

It usually takes a lot longer for any authoritative body to move a centimeter.
