victoryn Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Im a freshman in college and am looking to buy a new cologne and I wondered what you think is the best smelling and most attractive on a guy?
Ariadne Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Hi, There is a cologne I smelled on a guy and I got mesmerized. I went back and asked him what it was and got it for my son for his birthday. My son loves it too, you can try it if you go to some perfume store. The name: Del Mar Brand: Baldessarini by Hugo Boss Ariadne

Ariadne How old is your son? You may want to clarify this for the OP. I am guessing around 18 to 20...only because I know your age. (Not that you LOOK old enough to have a college aged son...and yes, I mean that).
EYECANDY000 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 My bf doesnt wear cologne... But Ive always smelled this scent on guys from like 18-30.. not sure if I am spelling it right but d issey miyake..... i just love it!!!!!!!

spooty Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 polo, or polo black both smell very "sexy college guy", issey miyake is good too, these are all "fresh" but masculine smells.
frd150 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 My ex liked it when i would wear Kenneth Cole black
Sweetcheripie Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Sean Jean "Unforgiven" Wear any cologne lightly.
Saxis Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 My ex liked Clinique "Happy". *shrug* I never wore it and she never got me any, so I don't know... Maybe I'll get some to spite her now...
crazyinlove123 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Giorgio Armani's Aqcua di Gio check the link. all my friends love it when guys have this on!!! one of my guy friends jus bought it at macys. its the highest selling men's cologne.
alyyyhsa Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 this post is WAY too cute sorry, just had to throw that out there. ok, can't for the life of me remember what cologne my ex wore. it drove me CRAZY. sweartogod. but one of my roommates (who's 20) wore polo by ralph lauren and he always smelled very nice. it's a really fresh, light scent. good for everyday use. hope that helps.
JamesM Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I can say that of all the colognes I have worn in my lifetime, the Polo in the green bottle gets the most compliments. And I started wearing it in college. I also wore Halston z-14, and many compliments were given back then when I wore it.
Star Gazer Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 When I was in college, the guys wore Aqua de Gio, Curve for Men, and Jean Paul Gaultier (my all-time favorite, even now). Oh my...
Trialbyfire Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Acqua di Gio is still one of my favourites and so is Ralph Lauren Safari.
blind_otter Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I dislike most colognes. My SO doesn't wear any. Sometimes he'll spritz on some hippie smelling lavender water. OP - whatever you choose use it sparingly!!
cj1988 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 My attends UGA and loves : Polo Blue Joop Dolche & Gabanna
Pyro Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Acqua di Gio (just got my first bottle for Christmas) and cool water are the best ways to go IMO.
IpAncA Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Acqua di Gio (just got my first bottle for Christmas) and cool water are the best ways to go IMO. I love Cool Water. That crap smells good.
Pyro Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 (edited) I love Cool Water. That crap smells good. That was my cologne of choice up until a few days ago. Now I have to balance between the two. Edited December 28, 2007 by a LoveShack.org Moderator
IpAncA Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 That was my cologne of choice up until a few days ago. Now I have to balance between the two. There was this guy where I worked once that wore that and OMG, he smelled up the office but man did he smell good. I love that stuff. I wear the Cool Water for women and a couple others.
Dean Moriarty Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Wear Acqua Di Gio if you want to smell like every other try-hard out there. I've actually been stopped and questioned by girls when wearing Tommy Hilfiger and Polo Sport. Just get one of those and don't sweat it. It's not that big a deal, as long as you don't smell like B.O.
lovesparis Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 please be careful when buying cologne and try it on first. just because it smells good on someone else, does not mean it will smell good on you. also, over time, your body chemistry can change the scent. i would recommend picking out 2; either highly recommended ones, or ones you like at the counter, putting one on your left wrist, and one on your right. then walk around the mall/have lunch/kill time for no less than one hour (i prefer to wait all day) and smell both wrists. i would also recommend having a trusted female accompany you (girlfriend, sister, friend, whatever) and give their opinions both right away, and after the hour time. as for colognes that i love: one ex wore polo (original in green bottle) and LOVED it on him. polo blue also smelled good, but less "musky" (for lack of a better word). since i liked it so much on him i asked the next guy to wear it... hated it on him. my most recent ex wore fendi and it was amazing on him good luck. most importantly; find one YOU like
spookie Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I love how LS opens my eyes to whole areas of life I had no idea about. I've never given cologne any thought. Do most men wear it? Do most women wear perfume? My ex didn't even wear deoderant and I loved how he smelled. I don't wear anything either. I use a hippie salt stick for my armpits. Do you think I smell bad???
Pyro Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 There was this guy where I worked once that wore that and OMG, he smelled up the office but man did he smell good. I love that stuff. I wear the Cool Water for women and a couple others. Well now I know what to wear if I ever need anything from you.
