melbelle Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 i met this guy over the summer, but neither of us wanted a long-term relationship so nothing ever really happened. The last time we spoke was in July, and he's been out of sight, out of mind. We had a great connection when we were together, it was just the wrong time for us. Now, I'm going to be living in the same city with him for the next five months. He's crept back into mind, and I was thinking it would be nice to see if we could reconnect. My question is, how do I go about instigating contact once again? What do i say to him? I'd be happy with just friendship, though something romantic would be nice. It just seems to me that we connected so well that it would be a shame to let him slip away. so please, what are some ways that I could reestablish contact with him? He's pretty shy and quiet, which complicates things... thanks.
ElvenPriestess Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I would say, just give him a call. Ir email, which ever. And say something like "Hey, I'm gonna be in town for a few months, just thought we could catch up over coffee or something. Let me know!" This way there's obviously no labeling, no pressuring, just casual invite.
s_n_d Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Yepp I agree with the last post. You should definitely call or email. I think calling is better than emailing though. So i would say call him and just talk casually about how hes doing and stuff like that. And ofcourse tell him your going to be living there for a bit and say something like "We should hangout after im settled in my new place." or something along the lines of that(because ofcourse not everyone talks like me.haha). But dont over do it. like dont text him all the time or call him all the time etc..because you might overwhelm him too quick. Good luck! :)
sedgwick Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I think a simple, "hi, how ya doin'?" email would suffice, provided things between you ended well. Just send him that and then leave it up to him. Good luck!
