Lauriebell82 Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Ok situation that happened, and I need some advice/help on. Actually this is a GOOD situation! Anyway, I get to my boyfriend's apartment (I am now done with the semester). He has a Kay's Jewelers magazine that has all kinds of discounts for this coming weekend, like "25% off any item" type deals because he has bought some jewelery for me there before. Anyway, I was a little iffy about it and I looked at him like he was nuts. So, he said "you can look through that if you want." And I was like ok. I was still very hesitant but he told me to point out things I liked. So still very hesitant I passed the engagement ring section and pointed out this ring and said "Oh, that's what my best friend's engagement ring is, it's so pretty." Then I moved on to the pages with the promise rings on them and pointed out a really pretty one. He asked me what "my favorite color" was, and I said well my birthstone is blue topaz. So he said ok. Then, I flipped back through the book again, and we were looking at the engagement rings. I didn't know if I was supposed to be looking at those or not, but he spotted one and said, "princess cut and round cut, what's the difference". So I said round cut is smaller and thats what I would want. So I pointed out the exact ring that I would want. He didn't get weird, he didn't start sweating, nothing! So I continued to leaf through the catelog pointing out things I liked. Now this is weird..what the heck is he doing to me? Now, it may just be a promise ring that he is going to buy me for Christmas, but the weird thing is that before Christmas I told him things that I would possibly want. Now this was about a month 1/2-2 months ago I told him that a pretty promise ring would be nice and he got real weird and said that "there is only one kind of ring I would buy, and you know what kind of ring that is." I could really use input on this, I'm trying not to get my hopes up! Mostly I just wanted to share the story with everyone and ask what they think he is up to.
