alwaysworried Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 This is probably the stupidest post ever but I need some input. For a few days now, I've been talking to this guy I kinda knew a long time ago, we're going on a date next week, so today we were talking on msn messenger and I had to leave so he wrote a kiss smiley (first time he does that) and I did the same, but then I didn't want him to get the wrong message so I put a wink smiley in there, just so he knew I was joking, and I think I screwed up, didn't I? Now he probably thinks that was a sexual innuendo and won't take me seriously. Am I exaggerating here? Thank you.
compassion42 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 No worries...it's just a smiley! They can be interpreted in many different ways-but in the end, they're just plain cute. Try not to stress and enjoy your date
Author alwaysworried Posted December 12, 2007 Author Posted December 12, 2007 I meant a kiss emote. Thanks for replying, compassion.
Kamille Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 ok - you do worry too much. I just replied to your other thread. A few questions: are you a people pleaser? do you always feel responsible for the outcome of every interaction you're in? do you find yourself always being the last one to say goodbye when you're on-line. One thing that's helped me a lot with men (and humans in general) is to learn to let them have the last word once in awhile. As in: you : loggin off now him : bye you : bye him : kiss. You are not responsible for the outcome of your every interaction. In fact, both people in the interaction are responsible for the outcome. You can sit back and let people come to you. Usually, men love doing a bit of reaching out. And just learning to let people do some of the work towards reaching for me as helped me gain confidence in both dating and friendship.
