silentwriter Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 My husband & I have been married over 22 years & we have no children. I had gastric surgery in 2006 & have lost a lot of weight. (I was not that big to begin with) I had my upper teeth removed & am now having implants put in. I finally look good, though I am very thin due to malabsorption. I do have some hanging skin but not as much as some people. My husband had pulled away from me sexually 17 years ago he said because "I grossed him out as I was fat". Now he says "I gross him about because of not having any teeth (as yet), I am too thin due to the malabsorption & might die, I have hanging skin & (this is the big one) I am being punished because of what I did prior to meeting him in 1983. My husband is an only child & we are both retired. We live in a state in the country from from old friends & family--no friends here, only acquaintences. I feel because he is an only child he has reverted back to taking care of number one "himself", he says "no, that isn't true". In all other ways he is a wonderful husband & provider. I want for nothing! I will not cheat on him as there is too much disease in the world these days & he says that if I did I could never keep my mouth shut - which of course he is right! He will not go to counseling with me. He does not eat at home anymore. Not that he doesn't like my cooking...he feels it's cheaper to eat out! Of course, I do not eat that much as I am not able to & have no desire to become heavy again. I always go to the movies alone as he hates movies but actually can't hear them & won't wear his hearing aid. He does drink beer but at home. He has never cheated on me, nor does he have a desire for another woman. I do have my own interests but I am becoming depressed & definitely starved. Oh yes, I am having plastic surgery in 2008 & as I said I'll have "new teeth" at that time too! Help!
