I think this "wait two months" thing is absolute BULL**** and guys who put up with that are losers. Actually, guys who try to brag on the internet about how many sexual partners they have had are losers.

Of course I generally am attracted to men who are a bit more open minded and aren't going to be judging me for something they were clearly a part of. My longest term relationship (about 14 years) started when we met in a bar and went home together that night.

It's funny how a lot of women claim they wait on the order of months but then once the lights go out and they're no longer posting/speaking publicly, it's a WHOLE 'nother ball game. That's because there's a selection factor. You can't generalize based on the sample you've encountered. The "easy lays" are less likely to be posting on a forum like this.

One gf I had slept with me on the first date but told her friends she made me wait a month so they wouldn't think less of her (her words, not mine). She asked me to go along with it and I did because I didn't really care. What people say they do and what they actually do aren't always the same.

We mostly hear about having sex too soon, but I think for someone with "nice guy" tendencies, waiting too long is the bigger mistake. Women put them in the friend zone very quickly. Plus, the "nice guy" believes that a player could bed the same woman in days or hours, so the longer they wait, the less he (the "nice guy") thinks she is attracted to him. To answer the original question, with the few women I dated, 2-3 weeks was the typical time we waited. I don't think it is a good idea to get strung along for months. It's funny you brought that up, because that was actually the whole reason I posted this topic to begin with - although I didn't want to post about my problem yet again, I'm sure you all are sick enough of hearing me rant is it is, haha
