oasis Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 My ex, ex of a year ago, whom I have been communicating with recently, requested to come over and see my newly re-decorated digs. His words were " I would love to come over and see the new decorations like very, very, very soon". I e-mailed him back 2 weeks later and asked him if he is still interested in seeing the decorations. He responded a day later (which is unlike him) to say that he still wants to come over. I responded yesterday and asked, is Friday or Saturday good? And I am still waiting for a response. Why do exes back off after you have given them an indication that you are still interested in them?
LucreziaBorgia Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Why do exes back off after you have given them an indication that you are still interested in them? I'm not sure about your ex, but I know when I've done that it was because although I was genuinely interested in seeing them or spending time with them, I was also afraid of giving them the wrong impression on which they would build false hope of a reconciliation.
Author oasis Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 Lucrezio, thanks for your response. If he wasn't stating just how much he "really missed me", and can't wait to see me, then I would have understood that we are broken up and maybe some day we can become friends. But his stated desire to me, has caused me to become conflicted. I think that once the situation started to turn into a reality and his ego is fed, he simply lost interest.
