Hey ladies,

I normally don't approach girls in public however a good situation came up, so I made a comment about the crowded bus. We started talking for 5 mins while we waited for the connecting train. Then we got separated, I got to the stairs first so I waited. We kept chatting for another 5 mins before going separate directions.

The other day I saw her again and she mentioned that she went down the coast with her bf, so I thought damn that would be right haha. I also got the impression she didn't want to talk to me as she had music on and she took the headphones off to reply then put them back. I interrupted her twice but when the train came she seemed to talk a bit more.

I saw her again the next day but didn't bother saying hello. We got on the bus at the same time and she said hello as she walked on. I thought about going with her but chickened out (although if I didn't know she had a bf I probably would have). She got off before me and said goodbye and waved.

I mean generally when a guy starts a conversation with a girl in public, he thinks she is attractive. And if she doesn't reciprocate she tries to avoid/ignore him. Is she just being polite because we sort of know each other? Or is she interested in being friends? Ladies what do you make of this?

She is just being polite.

agreed. she is being polite. i think women are also not too averse to having platonic friends of the opposite sex, though this is more of a generational thing (younger are more open to it than older).

I'm not so sure she was just being polite. Just the way we weren't actually looking at each other and she said hello and goodbye. It wasn't like I looked at her so she felt she should say something.

I think maybe she just saw me as a friendly guy, maybe a potential friend. I think next time I see her I'm just going to sit with her and chat. See what happens.
