This may be a help to those who are interested in greatly increasing strength without drugs or "body building" but instead raising peak strength. The book by Brooks Kubik called Dinosaur Training is a great resource. there are also many good resources on the web.

Good fortunes and good health.

I must agree that it is both inspiring and educational to read the accounts and tales of the strongman from days past. Kubik is a good author for instilling the simple, effective notions that have worked for many years while spinning stories of those that lived by them.

My only complaint with the "olde tyme" reverence is the incorporation of quick lifts (clean, snatch, jerk, etc), which are unnecessary and dangerous for anyone not directly competing in those events. Aside from that, they are wonderful oases in the mire that is modern fitness.
