Am i gonna get hurt again?

Hi,

I'm new to all this so here it goes,

A couple of months ago i finally broke off a casual relationship with one of my friends because i relieased how stupid and degrading it was .

 

After changing my whole lifestyle from sex, drugs and rock n roll I've just started seeing this guy after one of my close friends told me how nice he is. We went on a date and it went really well, we have loads in common and ended the night with a kiss.

 

But the night after i went to a party and it turned out one of my friends I've known for years cheated on her bf with the guy I'm seeing. She said that he was really nice and sweet before they had sex but then dropped her , so now all I'm thinking is he going to do the same with me? Is he a player? My friend tells me to go for it despite everything but i don't know. He's been texting me every day since he got my number off my friend and wants to meet again.

 

I don't know what to do on one hand i want to give him a chance because everyone deserves one but on the other hand i don't want to have to go through the whole thing again.

 

I don't want to lead him on and just want things to be simple. Need some advice what should i do?

just don't have sex with him for a reaaaaally long time like wait a month or 3. if he persists, drop him, he should respect you enough to wait if he really likes you.

Is it possible that he dropped her because she was cheating on her bf and he didn't want to be involved in that drama? I would have dropped her too. Or did she just dump her bf to date him, and they dated a while, and then sex, and then dumped?
