luckyinlove Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Lately, my boyfriend has seemed terribly uninterested and unhappy with things, has been spending a lot of time in bed, and has become very sensitive. For awhile I was taking all of it personally. Then I remembered that around this time last year (when it started getting cold and gloomy) he was having the same problems. I'm starting to think that maybe he just has a problem dealing with the weather...? I'm just wondering if any of you have any ideas I could use to possibly cheer him up, and get him out of this slump (if thats what it is). Its almost like he's lost his personality and has become just so gloomy. Does this seem right or may it be me/our relationship? And again, any ideas please. I love him dearly, and seeing him like this is just depressing. I want my baby back! Thanks!
Jilly Bean Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Here are your options: 1 - he has SAD (seasonal affective disorder). Read up on this - sometimes increasing someones exposure to light is enough to help jump start them again. 2 - he has depression (which I doubt) 3 - he gets generally blue around the holidays (a LOT of people do!) I would do little things to get him happy. How about spending the day in bed WITH him? Bring food, make love, watch football... Or, when it is sunny and bright, get him out of the house! Plan outdoor activities he would like - hiking, take him to a driving track, whatever. I don't think its you, or your relationship, FWIW...
jcster Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Foot rubs, back rubs, BBQ'd ribs...maybe a trip to someplace SUNNY!
