jessica2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Ive always thought that the "rebound" was an important and healthy, but now im not so sure. How do you know if thier are only a rebound? Do you try to avoid having a rebound? How long after a break up is a new perosn not considered a rebound anymore? Anyone with any insight?
spooty Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 i'd define a rebound as a hookup that happens before you stop having strong feelings for you ex, and before you have that feeling of closure. to avoid having a rebound just don't get with anyone for a few months after breaking up, and wait until you find a person you like, not just a person who is there. if you want to avoid being someone's rebound, be watchful of them hurrying the relationship to sex or mentioning the ex frequently and talking about how they were hurt.
