ahah2322 Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 my family always leave for month-long holidays at the end of the year. we will be going to europe in december. this therefore means that my bf and i (of 3 years) will not be able to spend xmas again. xmas aside, it's going to be a month before we see each other again! this sucks! i know we will be alright but are there ways that we can, perhaps, capitalize on this time apart? i wonder if there are any interesting things we can do...? (we each kept a diary for each other last year and then exchanged it when we got back. it was sweet reading about each other's life during the course of my departure) christmas falls on the 25th november for us every year. would love to hear fantastic ideas from you guys! thanks!

Well there are the basics (the obvious): phone, email, webcam, IM. You guys could also start a scrapbook (one each) of the things you do while you're apart (with photos, tickets, brochures, etc and text on what you did, etc) - this way, when you see him again, you'll feel more included in whatever it was that he did. That said, why not take this time to enjoy your time with family. Your bf will be there when you get back, no?
