Key Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 There’s this guy I ran into a few months back (old crush). Really nice guy, has a lot going for him. We’ve been talking on the phone for a bit, and he keeps saying to me “We have to go out”, etc—yet he tells me that he’s not looking for a girl/relationship right now because of his schedule. Fine, that’s cool. Why he told me that I don't know...I didn't think I gave off the impression... Anyway--I’m doing my thing, and he’s doing his...but whenever he calls he ALWAYS SAY "We have to go out" yet we haven't. Why does he keep saying that? I like him, but I am tired of him saying that. Any help/advice is appreciated..
tomwiz Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 May just need a little prodding, why don't you suggest a time and place?
Kamille Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I think BEB and TW are competing with each other to give contradictory advice. He is likely saying 'we have to go out' because he would like to go out, but doesn't have the time or dedication to commit to a specific date and time. He would likely go out with you if you set it up, but then you are stuck dating a guy who has told you he doesn't want a GF right now. Hmmm... Upon thinking about it, I think I have to side with BEB on this one, unless you yourself can handle something casual. Find someone who does have time for a date.
