zelda579 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Hi I just wanted to ask to see if anyone else ever experienced this. When do you guys or girls feel jealousy? Like for example, well, I'm single right now but I have noticed that when my guy is talking with people, I don't care if it's his "girl" friend, his cousin, or whatever I get a little jealous. I don't act upon my jealousy in any way but I still feel that way. Has anyone else ever felt this way?
oppath Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Being a little jealous or possessive is HEALTHY in a relationship as long as you express a curiousity about the person your SO is engaged with and his relationships is transparent to you. I personally would want a gf I really liked to come up and put her arms around me if I were talking to another girl, claiming me, because I want someone who says "look at what I got." Jealousy is a slippery slope, but a little bit is good. In fact, I wouldn't call what you describe jealousy. I'd say it is attachment. It only becomes jealousy if you start thinking "he might be interested in her, so I'm going to butt in."
