Crestfallen_KH Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Well, he finally did it. Not only did my STBXH cheat on me (#1), he wants to divorce me and trade me in for his affair partner, which is a younger, blonder model (#2), and he has now sold his sensible vehicle and purchased a more-expensive, sporty, German-engineered Audi (#3) even though his finances appear to be going into the crapper. Yes, my friends, it's the mid-life crisis trifecta. When he gets back from his 12-day vacation (that I assume he took with her), the divorce papers should be there for him to sign. Hopefully, we can still get this finalized before the end of the year so I don't have to file a joint tax return with him. It's funny, the more he becomes a walking cliche, the better I feel, in a way. It's like, the more dumb things they do, the more you are assured they are just losing their minds in EVERY way. Still walking the path...walking, walking... Crest
marlena Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 So sorry, Crest...but keep walking. And like the saying goes, "There's no fool like an old fool". He is unworthy of you! You'll be OK!
torranceshipman Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Sad mid life crisis, you're right...he sounds pathetic! Dearie me...hope he wakes up in a few months and realises what a complete prat he's been. I bet he'll try to get you back when that time comes (but you may not want him by then). You sounds strong - good luck to you! x
tinke Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 sorry to hear of your situation and pain. the grass is not always greener on the other side as many LS folks have said. hang in there, keep posting. it sure helps with keeping sane! take care
child_of_isis Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Ack! I can't understand why young women get into relationships with aging mid lifers! All they do is suck the life right out of them. Better her than you, I guess.
Gravedigger Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Ack! I can't understand why young women get into relationships with aging mid lifers! All they do is suck the life right out of them. Better her than you, I guess. LOL - that's so true. One of my friends did this, found a much younger model. I don't recognize him anymore, but looks like the young bimbo is enjoying his money
child_of_isis Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Well, there you have it. I guess as long as we have younger women willing to trade their soul for money and a new Audi.... we will have balding men with sagging asses having mid life crisis. LOL - that's so true. One of my friends did this, found a much younger model. I don't recognize him anymore, but looks like the young bimbo is enjoying his money
J and S Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Wow... you sound like a very strong person as and I love how you worded this post. I'm sorry you feel traded in for the new model but in a way, it sounds like a blessing. If I ever go through anything remotely like this, I hope I will have someone like you to KLUNK me on my bald head. Happy Holidays......
littlekitty Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 You sound incredibly strong. One imagines he might wake up one day and realise just what he's lost.
