angel12 Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 I'm in Australia. I recently started as Christmas Casual in David Jones (Department store), now currently working about 4 days a week. A week ago Starbucks rang me up (handed in resume some time ago) and ask if i'm still interested. I always wanted to work in a coffee shop, so I said yes, and told them I'm available 3 days a week. However, today I suddenly remembered that David Jones required full availability between Dec and Jan! I really want to work both jobs. I intend to keep one of the jobs next year after the holidays. I thought about telling Starbucks manager the truth and only requesting to work at nights, but am afraid she won't take me anymore. Any ideas? And from experience, how many days does DJ actually roster you during Christmas? Thanks in advance! PS. Haven't started work in Starbucks yet.
