steddie Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 I asked someone out very recently and this is what I said: "Hi, I've been getting to know you over the last few weeks and I think your incredible. I was wondering if you would like to go out for dinner some time" This is probably the best way I could phrase it but whats the best way you have ever come across?
oppath Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 I would rewrite that and say "I really enjoy when I talk to you." Leave out telling her that you find her incredible, make any rewarding statement specific to the interaction with her. So something more along the lines of "I really enjoy when I talk to you and want to talk to you some more. Would you like to go to dinner next week?" In reality, however, there is no best way to ask someone out. How you ask them out will affect their response if they are lukewarm, but if they have high interest, they are going to say yes no matter how you ask. Most women know that it takes guts to ask for a date, so any variation of "would you like to go out sometime?" is fine if they have high interest. If they don't really know you, or are lukewarm, then there are better ways. If I don't know them well, I'll say something like "I've really enjoyed this conversation, but have to run. How can we enjoy talking to each other some more?" They typically offer their contact information. Then when I call, I'll try and figure out their general schedule (by asking what is your weekly schedule typically like) and ask them to something specific. If it is dinner, I will say "I have a craving for authentic italian, none of that processed stuff, if you'd like to join me Tuesday night." Or "I want to check out the rock climbing gym but need someone to belay if you're up for the challenge."
Phateless Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 I asked this girl out tonight after dancing for a while. I just said "I want to hang out with you again some time. :)" and she said "Yeah!" so I handed her my phone.
