LosingMyDreamGirl Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 So, I am a busy person. I thought I would not have time (or want) to do the bar thing, so I signed up for an online dating site. Main reason i tried it was because one of my friends has been very successful with a site. He found his wife through one and actually gave birth to their first child a few days ago. I figure there is nothing wrong with that, especially with my friends great success. I have been a member of the site for a couple of weeks now. I have probably emailed about 25 women. Of the 25, 3 have responded to me. I talked to them all, but only one continues to talk. I am a little 'scared'. The woman I am talking to likes ALOT of the same things as I do. Not only that, but I think she is very very pretty. It almost seems too good to be true. I asked her out this weekend and she said she would love to go. We have not talked any way except through email. I am new to this online dating thing and was wondering if I should be looking out for anything? I know it sounds bad to say those kinds of things, but I am in no mood for games. I just want a nice friend (especially one that shares my interests) and someone that I can enjoy time with. Assuming this is legit and things are as they seem, are there any pointers to impressing a woman met from an online site or is this pretty much like dating any other woman? I am just a little amazed because things seem 'Too good to be true' and i have been raised to believe 'If it seems that way, they probably are'.
