So, how can you tell?

This topic is particularly interesting to me. I hear people say "it was my intuition that old me."

Other times it was just their fears.

Which was not necessarily reality, just old patterns re-playing themselves. What about people that have experienced great pain and loss (umm-everyone?) aren't they always on the defensive?

How can you tell the difference between your personal fears and real intuition?

Isn't fear something to do with trepidation and caution, whereas intuition may not necessarily be associated with a bad foreboding...?

Is this what you mean?

I think of fear as a script that comes from a historic place, not necessarily having anything to do with one's current reality, yet influencing it nonetheless.

Intuition is more a gut feeling telling you "don't take that flight!" right before it crashes, or "turn left" moments before the car ahead of you flips over, thereby saving your life.

As an extreme example.

But I don't understand how people can tell the 2 apart, especially when it comes to relationships and they have been burned before, as most people have been. Is it fear or is it real? How to tell?

Any experiences or stories?

I think you're thinking too much.

I think you fear something due to a previous experience, and you desperately want intuition to bail you out before the crapoola might possibly hit the fan, maybe, perhaps....

"He who deliberates fully before taking each step will spend his entire life on one leg."

I never enter into anything wondering, fearing or trying to be intuitive, because ther are too many outside contributory factors.

If it falls flat - so what? get up, and start again.

if it succeeds - so what? keep going.

It all ends eventually, anyway.
