Okay, this thread is open to all parties. If a guys is 28, has only dated one girl, and that was back when he was 19 (and he only went out on like 6-7 dates with her over 2 months and has not dated since). Is that a red flag?

Not necessarily. It wouldn't hurt to go out with him once, right?

Why are there so many tree lined streets and leafy lanes in France?

Yes, I tend to give a decent guy a shot without judging, you never know, you might get a diamond in the rough.

Germans like to march in the shade.

Is that really true?

Thanks for the response. Sorry, in response to your question, is what true?

The reason that there are so many leafy lined streets in France...

No, lol, it was just a joke alluding to Germany's invasion of France in 1940. :bunny: It is true though, that the Germans prefer to march in the shade whenever possible (but then again, who doesn't?)

Oh, I didn't know it was a JOKE. I knew about the allusion. I did the Omaha Beach thing 2 summers ago.

What do you mean Racquel? Did you visit Omaha Beach or something? If so, pray do tell. That is really interesting.

I visited Omaha Beach, and the sites there related to the WWII invasion. It is really moving when you look out onto the water and realize what went on there. I highly recommend that if you go to Paris, take a 2 hour drive and you are there!

IMMHHO, yes. As a 29 year old woman, I'm too old to be teaching a grown man fundamental relationship "rules" (for lack of a better word).

You might have better luck with someone who's in their very, very early 20's...they're likely to have the same amount of experience, equaling things out.

I agree here totally. I briefly dated a woman with a similarly slim dating resume at the age of 34 or so. Things that generally go smoothly with someone more comfortable being intimate with someone of the opposite sex were just horribly awkward. She was constantly nervous as well. After two or three dates I had to call it quits.
