SuperFantastico Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Basically its a kind of sexual frustration a guy feels when he has a hot friend who he cant have sex with but still wants to. Sometimes its to try to make the girl in question notice him or feel jelouse. Other times its to try to turn her on so at least you know even though she wont have sex with you , she will be thinking about it. If it really bugs you just tell him to keep it to himself. Pay no attention. its a guy thing
Trimmer Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 ...no the sexual harrassment isn't nonsense. Saying a guy is cute or complimenting him is totally different than the remarks this blankety-blank has been making to this girl about other girls. I still want to know where a lawyer is when you need one... Do you have any precedent for a friend suing another friend for sexual harrassment? I didn't see anywhere in the OP's posts (in this thread, anyway) that suggests that they are coworkers, or that there is anything related a workplace or authority relationship involved here... Are you advocating that friends and acquaintances sue each other for sexual harrassment? This should bring more high-priced lawyers into the bar scene...
lindya Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 I have a male friend (just a friend) lately when we get into conversations he will make crude comments (not about me, just about women in general), Do you think this is because he thinks of me a buddy (like he would one of his male friends) or did he somewhere along the way lose all respect for me as a women? example of comment: Yeah, she not very pretty but I would still F her from behind with the lights out, no women is ugly enough for that. He is a crude person, I have heard him talk to other men this way a few times, but I have never heard him say it in front of another women. How do you react when he says things like that? I usually take the view that when guys make sexist or offensive comments about women during conversation with me, they're testing out my reactions to figure out which category they can put me into. One of the guys, sub or angry and frigid feminist Rather than feeding that, I find use of silence helpful. Let the person just keep on digging for a reaction...until it gets to the stage where even they have to admit that they're coming across as a bit of an obnoxious tit.

Seriously, just whack him. It will be funny and he'll get the point. I respect a woman who will discipline me that way. If he's REALLY bad, give him a titty-twister. In all seriousness, a firm whack on the chest with the back of your hand and a "HEY! There's a lady present..." will usually get the point across ok.
