Summary:

Gf left to work abroad for 8 months, we couldn't handle situation and broke up (her initiative, probably consequence of me not being pro-active).

After 8 months of LC, we met when she came back last august. I was pushy and asked her to get back together, and she backed off and we decided to go NC.

Now I think I made a mistake, she was going through a lot, getting new job, re-adjusting after 8 months abroad and I just didn't give her time for it.

We met randomly on IM a few days ago and catched up. I moved to a new place in the meanwhile (finally my own!) and she sounded excited so I invited her over. She came and we had a nice time as friends.

She knows I love her, because I told her last time. She is being nice, replies to text, email and I don't think she has another guy.

Now that we have re-established contact... do I have a second chance or is she just leading me to LJBF territory? (checking that I am doing ok so that she doesn't have to feel guilty?)

Or rather... how do I find out?

Thanks

I think you'll have to wait this one out and see. Play it by ear. It appears you have fell into the friend role. The only way i know to find out if she has feelings for you is to back off and let her come to you. If she does that then you got a chance.

Thanks for the reply, it is just hard to sit and wait...

What if she expects me to show some REAL interest?

She already knows you have interest. If you don't want to fall into the friends zone than don't become her friend :p

Back of for a bit, don't contact her as much and don't be as responsive. When some time passes ask her to go on "date" and see how she reacts. You'll have you definite answer by that point.
