I don't know why it is but lately I've changed. In the past I would prefer to have few friends that I'd hang out with often on a regular basis. Now the opposite has happened and I prefer to have a various range of friends, while keeping contact regularly and doing different activities at different times. Right now, I kind of get sick of hanging out with the same friends on a constant basis which the rotation is helpful. In the past I've always outgrown my friends and I've hit another stage where I am again. It's also difficult now as well becuase my life is more busy than it used to be. Sometimes it feels like a bad thing becuase I don't keep in touch with them as much as they or I'd like and that I'm pushing them away.

Does anyone else feel this way?

I guess that's just the way things goes, you meet new people and if you like them you're friends. At high school, I too only had a small group of friends. Now at uni, I've got another group of friends that I hang around with (Well, I still consider them acquaintances but I might have to upgrade them since I hang around them a lot). Not to mention people from my different classes, my gym buddy, and my drinking/partying buddies.

Don't worry about having a hard time keeping in touch. I went to watch a movie with my high school buddies the other day and a friend came along who I had not seen in 10 months. All I got was a guy who was keen to catch up.
