Title should say date lol..anyway I will say it again..texting is SOOO unpersonal and does not take the place of a phone call. So this guy who I'm talking to and am supposed to meet seems to really like texting. Yea I know guys don't like the phone boohoo. He texts me on a Friday night oh you want to do something. So I said no it's kind of last minute. I mean sorry but if you want to go out on a date you make plans with the person days before not the night of. We did tentatively have plans for this weekend but since I was sick I would have figured he would known we weren't getting together lol. Then I thought, is he kidding me..a text message invite for a date, how old is this one 12 So he wrote back oh ok maybe next weekend and I wrote back the next time you want to hang out you can call me not text me. I don't care how he takes it but you don't text someone for a date. We're not bf/gf or ever friends here where we can do that. This is his chance to be impressing me. Are guys this lazy now that since text messaging is popular now they don't need to pick up a phone anymore. And text messages which everyone knows aren't even reliable really is the last thing I'm looking for.

Sometimes we're afraid of an awkward phone call, or that you won't pick up or won't call back and we don't want to make plans via voicemail. Sometimes we just don't know what to say.

I think you did the right thing. So what if HE prefers to text, he should be addressing his audience which is you. Then when you know each other better or are friends, texting can be added into the mix.

Glad you are not staying home for that one.
