sw Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Been dating a woman for almost three months. Who,I found out had a crush on me for two years. She was inviting me over for dinner almost everyday were very intimate the first month and a half .She loved when I touched and cuddled her Her previous boyfriend was emoitanly abusive . He was jealous and controlling and was also stalking her after the break up. He still emails and call her everyday. When we first strted going out she would avoid him at all costs. Lately she was distant, and I was at her house the other day wathing a movie and she wouldnt cuddle with me on the couch. She was in the kitchen texting somebody, when she came back to the couch I noticed on the screen of her Blackberry her ex's name about 10 times . I didnt say anything I just got my jacket and left, but she wanted to walk downstairs with me. That when I asked her why she was texting him and distant. She told me that she had to see him at the races every weekend and just wanted to avoid his :negative energy". She told me how he was such an a##hole , and said I was so much better than him. As for being distant she said she didnt want to be touched and was afraid to tell me that she wanted to back off because she didn’t want to lose my friendship and afraid I would get mad. She said she is so used to being abused that she doesnt know how to express herself. I figured she is still a bit messed up from him so I try to be understnding, and tell her that I'm here for her and I care for her. After all this drama she hugs for what seemed like 10 minutes and kept kissing me on the cheek. Then for the first time in in a while she is holding my hand and snuggling . This is the same woman who said 10 mi nutes earlier she "didnt want to be touched" Its been a week since that happened, we havent seen each other since , but she sent me an email a couple of days later telling me she misses me and saying I'm awesome and thanking me for being honest with her. I am trying to keep my distance right now. I really like her and want a future with her, but dont like whats going on with her ex. I believe everything she says about hating him, but think somehow he still controls her. Is there anything I can do besides give her her space right now? . Thanks
