A quick synopsis is that I met this girl online in september and dated her for a week -- lets name her K. I though she was great and I believe she felt the same way torwards me but apparantly she got out of a 3yr relationship and wasnt ready to commit and she still wanted to test the waters so we became friends since then (still chat and see each other on occasion as friends). Anyway, I get an IM from Kon wednesday saying that she still has my DVD book of DVDs that i left at her house when we were still dating. I told her I'd come by on thursday night to go pick it up. I show up that night, she gives me the DVD's and we chat for a few minutes before I tell her I have to leave (she was hanging out with her friends so I didnt feel like hanging out). Now earlier in the day I get an IM from a girl I dont know. I assumed it was a girl i met on the online personals whom I gave my SN to but she went away before i can ask her who she was..... fast forward to after I got my DVD's and went home. I get an IM from the girl again, she tells me that its T, K's best friends sister whos name is P. I was curious as to why T was IM'ing me but i was busy chatting online with a girl who I have a date with this weekend.. so I didnt have time to chat with T but this is what she says that had me so confused....... Me: not much - i actually saw K an hour ago to pick up my dvds T: Haha shes my hero! Me: lol whys that T: Ugh long story. Shes always help me haha Me: thats good that shes looking out for her friends ********* 12 minutes later without communication ************ T: Wat u hate P or something Me: ?? me ?? no. what makes u think that T: U didnt say n e thing Me: ? im not sure what you mean, but i dont hate P T: Haha ok Afterwards when the girl I am seeing sign off I sign off too. About an hour later I get a text message on my cell from K... "Hey can I ask you something. Would you go out on a date with P ?" Now at this moment 2 things are going through my head: (1) Im not attracted to P in anyway so, No I dont want to date her and (2)WHAT??? Why whould a girl whom I dated for a week and knew I really liked her want to just put me on a date with her best friend?? something is really fishy with this and it feels like some childish HS girl games that they are playing on me (** note K is 23 and Im 24) and I got the feeling that they all were together at K's house chatting about this that nite I went to pick up my DVDs. Now I didnt answer her message and I went to sleep - I woke up this morning hearing my txt message alert go off and it was K saying "I didnt get an answer". I finally replied back saying: "I appreciate what you are doing but at the moment I kinda have a "full plate" thank you though". I never told K that I had a date this weekend, though sometimes I felt I should have, just to mess with her head and let her know that she's losing her opportunity to get back with me....... but Im a person who takes the high road and wont demean myself to their level of childish games. Has anyone been in a situation close to this or who may be able to analyize what is going on here. I know the purpose is that K wants me to date P but why on earth whould she set this up when she knew how I felt about her when she and I dated......
illrunaway Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 um just something to think about.... there is no way in hell that your date this weekend is P right? and T probably asked u something before those 12 minutes maybe you should ask her what she said. this could be very high school.
