shayna Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Anyone have experience with this one to get past the struggle of losing your partner to a breakup/divorce? I'm seriously considering it because I'm SOOOOO frustrated with how (even after 4 months) I'm not feeling any better, but in fact somewhat worse. I'm still not past the crying everyday or the obsessive thougts. I can't waste me time on this guy anymore as I'm a very busy person!!!!! Sounds like a great idea to "just move on and forget" but I can't and I've tried everything (friends, anti-d's, work, therapy....) except the above. Ahhhhh
corazoncito Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I don't know about it for getting over a relationship, but I know people who swear by it for quitting smoking. Since breaking up is kind of like quitting a drug, maybe it would help?
Tony T Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 There aren't many shortcuts to the healing process. As a matter of fact, many things people do to foreshorten the time backfire and prolong the misery. I have done hypnotherapy for relaxation and other processes and it's very helpful. Likely a good therapist can help you get through this. Don't expect miracles but you can learn a technique that can help you through many emotional and other life experiences. Do it for sure but relax and don't place a lot of demands on it or yourself.
