High School Sophmore torn over a Junior

hello i'm new to this site.

i am a 15 yr old guy in TN and in 10th grade

there is a girl in 11th grade who i've known for about 3 yrs. we never really became friends until last semester but we both have the same group of friends.

just recently i have looked over at her and caught her looking back but I cant tell if she was really "looking" at me. over the past few months we have become pretty good friends we both have the same friends, like similar things, both can't stand the same people. this may sound stupid but she says "hello" and "bye" to me; and to my knowledge no girl has ever done that to me.

as you can probably tell i've never hade a girlfriend before or even been on a date. i really like her but it is so close to the end of the school year. even though we will see each other all summer (we are both in Band) i have never been this torn over a girl.

I want to know if she feels the same about me and how i should ask her about it

Please reply i'm very confused.

Take it slow and be cool. Hey, if both of you don't like the same people...that's a great sign for sure!!!

When the circumstances are right, invite her to have a Coke with you. Or even ask her to a movie. You probably don't have a car and that's OK. Taking the bus or even walking is lots of fun, unless it's too hot. Maybe your mom or dad will drive the two of you where you want to go...and pick you up. Don't be ashamed of having to do that. It would only be odd if you were lots older.

You'll have lots of opportunities to talk to her before and after band this summer so take advantage of that. And she'll have lots of extra time to do things while school is out. Ask her what she's going to be doing this summer. Maybe she'll talk about something you can participate in...and you can say wow, I'd really love to be a part of that. Just don't invite yourself along with her family on their out of town vacation.

Start showing some enthusiasm back or she'll loose interest. You have to be careful about those girls in the band. If you don't make a move pretty fast, they move on and gravitate to the guys with the bigger instruments...if you know what I mean.
