Spinderella Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Okay. Here is a new thread, because the old one was just so negative. I am over breaking nc, and over that friend. Today I am feeling pretty good. I see now why those particular challenges challenged me. And I am letting go of what no longer serves me.
bigheartkindsoul Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Been where you are, IMO and its not easy but happiness breeds happiness, same as sadness breeds sadness. Try to be happy as much as you can even if faking it and the real will follow naturally as a matter of course. Good luck hun
Spinderella Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Thanks BHKS, Admittedly, I'm half faking, but only half. The other half feels great.
bigheartkindsoul Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Thanks BHKS, Admittedly, I'm half faking, but only half. The other half feels great. Yeah kinda like that myself this evening, part sad but generally ok. Funny how moods come and go.
Crestfallen_KH Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Hi, Spin - I'm at that point, too. While I want to focus on my healing and grieve in a healthy way, sometimes I just drive myself nuts. I feel like sometimes I'm just a whiny basketcase and it's time I start being more fun to be around. It's time I stop letting them "win" by getting angry or obsessing about what they are doing. I need to stop giving up my power and focus on me and my great, shame-free life. I started volunteering last weekend at the Humane Society and we were so busy, that for four hours I didn't even think about my STBXH, which is by far the longest stretch of time I've gone. In addition, I helped 3 kitties and 3 cats find new homes, which was so very rewarding. It's a good to know that, even though I feel this bad, I am still able to reach out and help others. I think volunteering, for me, is going to be a key point in my healing. No matter how crappy I feel, I can still be useful and helpful to others. So, I'm with ya - I'm not going to pretend I won't have miserable days or moments, but I'm so done with letting it affect my work, my social life and my health.

Hi Spindy, Hope you don't mind my calling you Spindy, it's just easier to type & rolls off the tongue nicely:) I wrote something in Matty's thead that might make sense to you too, check it out. I think you are on the perfect track to healing & getting over someone who will eventually regret & miss being with you. You'll see, keep a positive attitude! Scorp
