Curmudgeon Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 It's unsettling to wonder how many people out there -- both men and women -- convince themselves that they're in love with their GF/BF when they decide to get married... when all it really is, is pressure from society... and a desire to "own" another person. That's slavery, in my book. Given your belief I see a very alone life ahead for you.

Woggle Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 The thing that let me know she was the one is that I feel I can breathe around my wife. I don't feel the need to work until 9:00 pm or go out with the guys every night just to avoid an argument which is what many guys I know do. I can be myself and I have actually learned a few things from her. The biggest key to finding a happy marriage is to be yourself and anybody you get involved with needs to love you for who you are.

I hope LS would still be around when I get married. I can just come here and vent about my marriage... or talk about all the wonderful things about it. LOL... I hope it's the latter!

I have met someone very nice! Very happy but it's a LDR so struggling with it. So far, it's been worth it!
