Here's a brief update on my situation, for those of you who are familiar/interested: I did finally talk to the guy I've been dating about expectations and the like. This only came after the second time he backed out of seeing me at the last minute. The first time, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. The second time, I kind of chuckled and said, "You know, if you've decided you don't want to do this anymore, it's fine. You can tell me." He said, "Well, I'm not going to tell you that because it's not how I feel." We proceeded to talk for a few hours about relationships and what our experiences have been like. Amazingly enough, we've both had a tough time in relationships for the same reason: not enough time to satisfy the other party. After the conversation, he was audibly relieved and said he couldn't wait to see me this weekend. I'm still not convinced he's all that interested, but I'm stepping back a bit and seeing what happens. I'd like to thank those of you who've read my posts or given me advice for your time and attention. I'm ready to stop giving so much of both to this situation, however, so unless something dramatic happens, I'll refrain from posting about it again. I think I'm going to stick around the boards here at LS because I like reading the posts. I haven't felt on top of my game enough to offer advice to anyone just yet, but I hope to again in the future. Thanks again! birdmadgirl
