TheRock Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 My GF and I broke up on Sunday. We were together 1 yr & 3 months. The day started out good. She came to my new apartment and we watched TV, kissed, she kept holding my hand & massaging my back, etc. We went to a Haunted House and she kept holding my hand and initiating contact...then she says she needs a break. (Everytime we get close, she distances herself right after. I think she's got committment issues). I was tired of her doing this and said I can't go thru it anymore. So, it was semi-neutral break. The way we left it she said she needed a break to think. I said I don't do breaks and to me it would be breaking up. (Not that I wanted to, but I'm tired of her games) She cried on my shoulders for 3 hours and said she doesn't want to break-up, just needs a break to think. Then, she asked if she could call me. I said I'd like that, but I can't wait around forever for her. I really want us to workout, but can't put my mind thru the emotional rollercoaster every few weeks. Her bro is getting married tomorrow and her family's been pressuring her whether she's getting engaged soon, that her friends are all married, she's 31, etc... A lot of pressure. I'm now not going to the wedding. Don't know whether this is supposed to be no-contact or not... I had mailed her a Halloween card the Saturday before we broke up and she got it on Monday and texted me "Thanks for the Pick me up. It helped I txtd her "Glad u liked it :)" and haven't heard from her since. Don't know if she's waiting for me to call her. I no she's been going crzy getting rdy for the wedding this week so I'm giving her space. Should I call her next wednesday or so if I don't hear from her or just wait for her to be ready? How long do I wait?
coco_milkshake Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Just leave it for now. You both need space and time to think about what you really want. Think about yourself as well as your GF cos your happiness is on the line too.
