BlueEyedGirl Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Any last minute advice? What should I talk about? I'm on the shy side and always run out of things to say...and I already know the basics on this guy (where he works etc).
Lyssa Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I usually talk about what's going on around the world (boring, yes!) or ask questions about his work, family, interest.. etc.
Timberlane Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 I usually talk about what's going on around the world (boring, yes!) or ask questions about his work, family, interest.. etc. Lyssa, that isn't the least bit boring. I like to read current magazines, talk with other friends who are fairly outspoken, and just in general get my mind working before going out on a date. Of course I look for intellectual curiosity in the other person, so if I throw out a subject and get some new information back that is a big plus to me. I tend to avoid conversation about certain controversial subjects, but no doubt you both know the ones and avoid them as well.

They actually yawn when I mentioned something happening around the world.. how rude! I love reading as well and right now I'm big on New Scientist and Popular Science. Oh yeah, I try to avoid anything controversial too.
