Lee725 Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Ever been on a really bad date? I just went on one... first one since BU. Casual drinks at local pub.... nothing to special but.... I nearly fell off my perch with this one... i could not believe the stuff coming out his mouth.. i have never met someone so completely up themselves in all my life! These statements came out his mouth along with other less mentionable dribble within 1.5 hrs ... (one hour 25 minutes to long) I get there and he has 2 mates with him, when i walk to the table the first thing that comes out his mouth is "you guys can F*** off now she is here.." NICE INTRODUCTION... Not long followed by these gems: - Do you know how lucky you are to be sitting here having a drink with me? -I could really look after you most girls dont deserve me but i think you might.... -I have not had sex in 2 years because most girls i meet dont meet my standards... they dont deserve me. By this time i could not even make eye contact with him, i was laughing so hard .... inside.... -You are not looking me in the eyes, please look into my eyes.... i really am shy and you are making me nervous... (i reply... you are as far removed from shy as i have ever met... he didnt like that). Oh my gosh. if this is what is left in my age group on the dating scene, i am booking a one way ticket to the nearest deserted island. What have been your really bad dates like lately?
Timberlane Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Wow! That sounded horrible. What a strange conversation. I had what I thought was turning into a good date that actually went quite off the tracks. I held on until the end, but eventually had to just flee. I met the girl at a gaybar. Her male gay friend was visiting from CA. The bar was actually fun. It had a mix of male and female gays, straights, and, er...I don't know. It was packed and festive. When I arrived, she had a drink waiting for me. I smiled immediately. We really hit it off and obviously found each other attractive. As the night wore on, her friend got super smashed and started slurring his speech. She got about as bad and was having trouble walking. This girl was in her 30s, mind you. They are in no condition to drive, so I offer to drive them both home to her place. No problem I think. The guy is so drunk I have to almost physically carry him down the stairs and to the car. She gets a little snap and can at least move herself to the car unassisted. We get in and the two of them proceed to have some little friend spat. He then starts barfing out the window. She says, "Oh, oh! Turn the radio on!" Huh? "Please. Turn it on." She is looking sick too. His barf noises were making her ill. I turn on the radio and we stop so the friend can get out. They then argue some more and he sulks off to walk home alone. "Get in the car, bitch!" she keeps yelling. Jesus H! Finally, the little bastard complies and we get home.
Author Lee725 Posted October 31, 2007 Author Posted October 31, 2007 Oh Dear, that was funny Timberlane, They say that first impressions stick and it seems you might carry that one with you for a while .... I think it might be a hard one to beat! I could be wrong but is there anything worse than having to deal with Barf issues on a 1st date? Have you seen her since? It makes me wonder why people do get so trashed on 1st dates or even 1st meetings. . . . after all everyone knows your relationship has reached a new "Caring" level when your partner holds your hair for you while you barf !!!! hehehehe YUCK! I suppose we all need to experience the bad dates to know when we have had a good one!
