Rodsoxfan82 Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Kind of a long story and maybe a little confusing but please read this. I need some major advice/help! My soon to be exhusband and I have been seperated for 8 months. Been working on a divorce for 4 months. The attorney I first was trying to work with really was dragging his feet and wouldn't return my phone calls. Well, I recently got a new attorney that is wonderful! Only problem now is money...which I have been saving and working towards finishing paying him off. Anyways, I got a call from my ex today and we still owe on taxs (which I know he will never pay, so I am paying them tomorrow...found out I can put that in my divorce as well and make him pay me back)...anyways, he called me again later telling me that he is going to be selling our car, because it's going to somehow cost him $3,000 to title it. How can he do this?! Both of our names are still on the car....He keeps trying to start bs and pull crap. I'm really stressing over all this and have just been trying to save money so that I can get this divorce finished. I am really at my wist ends and don't know what to do anymore. Any advice or comments or whatever would greatly help!

I of course denyed his request. I had a myspace as well, but ended up deleting it cause of all the BS. Since we aren't divorce, can I not get him for stalking or whatever? I noticed a lot of people have read this, but please help me guys! At least tell me how to relax and not get so stressed out over this. I just need some advice.
Stampy Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 He cannot legally sell the car on you if you are both on title. But are you - most cars are in one name only. Also, just because he legally cant do it wont mean that he wont be able to. Cars are not like land - they are sold much less formally. But - the car is an asset of the marriage, so you get half anyways. I know this wont be the answer you want, but at least its something. As to Facebook etc., yeah you may have to just dump your accounts. I have a facebook account, my STBXW doesnt, but I still talk to her sister so I made her a friend. Anyhow, dumb move as my X seems to know a lot about my facebook account.
