emecee Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 ok, im going out with this girl, we're both in highschool, she has this firm belief that love is obession/infuatuation, and it dosent exist, and the closest thing she'll get is liking someone, and i really like her alot, i want to say things like "i love you" but is afraid for her to not say it back. what should i do?
MsArtful Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 In my time I've made similar statements, but deep down I still believe in love. It could be that she has witnessed a lot of relationships falling apart, or it could be a way of protecting herself. It may be that she believes it, so don't push the issue. You can show her that you love her without actually saying it, and perhaps a little further down the track when you've been in a relationship for longer you can say things like "i love you" and perhaps even convince her that there is such a thing.
Timberlane Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Tell her to ditch the Emo kid routine. Love is real and it hurts like a beyotch. Bess believe dat.
