hollaxatholly Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 The weirdest thing happened today. Well, I mean, it wasn't really weird. I went to see a lady and she read my tarot cards. I've never done anything like that, but i was sitting there and i saw the lady and i've been pretty miserable with my MM lately so I was like what the he--....i wonder what she'd have to say. So, I did it. She didn't ask ANY questions about me. She just had me ask a question, or think about whatever to myself. I "asked" or thought, what I should do about MM? should I give up on him? So, I drew my cards....and it's hard to explain but she said I see you've been waiting for something...a phone call maybe?! (I've been desperately, pathetically, glued to my phone, waiting for it to ring, for almost a month lmao) she said I don't know whats going on with that but I just want to say that whatever is making you miserable right now, it will come to an end soon. everything is going to work out. Then she had 2 King cards, one on one side, one on the other. She said these 2 men, are going to try to persue you. One is a lover, kind, honest...very nice man...and he's single also, let me make sure to mention that. I thought it was weird for her to just mention that because, obviously, normally a man is single when he wants to be with you LOL then she said the other...not so much...he's very much materialistic and he likes money and he's a little bit of a liar...and it looks like he's married maybe?? I'm like ....wow...i think i know this guy (MM..he is a kind of about money alot..and of course he is MARRIED so that gave him right away) She's like its probably better to pick the nice guy and not be with this other man. (god, help me. lol) but whateve you want, it will turn out good, go with your heart. everything will be good soon. She said it looks like a commitment...or a marriage maybe, from the one card. Then at the bottom there was another card, it was a black queen card. She said wow...and here at the bottom, theres a woman, a dark haired, maybe dark eyed woman, and she looks unhappy...or jealous....like, she doesn't want this for you, for some reason. I don't know. MM's W is dark haired, so obviously i figure that has to be her... She said there will be a party of some kind soon and everything will be very good and i won't be miserable anymore soon. She said this...love triangle of some kind will be over soon and everything will be great for me. I mean...this woman had NO details...none...and she had like all the details pretty correct...I don't know if I know this other guy...I can't even imagine forgetting MM and being with another guy but it could happen. That really gave me some hope...I've been feeling so down lately but it looks like things COULD be looking up very soon apparently. Has anyone ever visited one of these tarot card readers? or had anything they say turn out to happen? I mean...she was on target with the details of me and MM and his W...but...I'm just waiting to see if he calls or anything happens with that. Now I'm all anxious LOL I wasn't expecting her to know this stuff...it was really neat and well worth the $10 IMO. Does anyone have any experiences with this??
passionateconfusion Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I didn't see a tarot card reader rather a psychic medium who connects with the 'other side'. She connected with my maternal grandmother who I was very close to. She was right on with everything including my personaility, career and relationship. What prompted me to see her was the break with my MM (long story). The timing of things was a little off but everything she said would happen is happening. I think one thing to be mindful of is how it made you feel afterwards. I walked away feeling peace. I also felt a strength inside and that was the most important thing. I wouldn't try to make things a 'self fulfilling prophecy' rather take things day by day and live your life.
wizer Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Tarot card readers, psychics...they're all one big scam. They aren't telling you something you didn't tell them. Whether you realize it or not.

Whether you realize it or not. Thats what I thought but I swear...I didn't talk to her AT ALL. Not at all....no questions...no conversation...I just listened.
wizer Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 You have been waiting for something. Really? Me too! She threw out generalities that could apply to almost any man or woman and you fit them in to match people that you know in your life. A sad woman with dark hair or eyes or something. Wow! A nice guy who is honest. A man who likes money, is a liar, and is married. Score! I know them too! She didn't get the details right. Because she didn't give you any details. She threw you out some scraps that ANYONE could relate to. YOU did the work, not her. I give you this advice for a lot less than you paid her.
Author hollaxatholly Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 Yeah, I mean I don't expect to live my life by what she said or anything but it just gave me some peace, for now atleast. I don't know how to explain it exactly....I mean, she didn't tell me anything completely life changing but it just made sense and, for whatever it's worth, true or not, it made me feel much better than I've felt in a month, so it was well worth it to me! crazy or not lol I really feel like she was right though. Author hollaxatholly Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 Maybe your right. There were a little more details involved than I have posted though. Thank you for trying to make something good into something bad. I understand your thinking though. It's just that I am seeing a man who is married, and his wife, is very jealous of our relationship and has dark hair...and.....how many people do you know( ok, maybe this is a bad place to ask that considering almost everyone here is seeing a MM/MW) that are in a relationship with a MM? I mean...why would she mention a MM to me? I know like say...if she had told that to my mom, or my sister, or a friend...most of them, would have no connection to that sort of scenario. I don't know...could be a scam...but I really felt she was dead on with what she told me... You have been waiting for something. Really? Me too! child_of_isis Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 By reading this part...I am thinking that you are thinking...that MM is going to leave his W for you? And maybe even marry you? One thing you probably should consider. You would be marrying a man who cheats on his wife. Is that the type of H you want? She's like its probably better to pick the nice guy and not be with this other man. (god, help me. lol) but whateve you want, it will turn out good, go with your heart. everything will be good soon. frannie Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 .....how many people do you know( ok, maybe this is a bad place to ask that considering almost everyone here is seeing a MM/MW) that are in a relationship with a MM? I think that many people who read Tarot (etc.) are, like counsellors, very used to common scenarios, and really quite good at reading people... their mannerisms, the way they express themselves. That's not to say what they do is 'a scam'... the cards are simply (to my mind) a way of drawing out common human situations/conditions... appealing to the unconscious motivations and archetypes which are in all of us, and resonate with all of us. A combination of appealing to your innermost thoughts (and best advisor, that of your own 'soul' or however you want to express that), and people-reading really can get to the heart of the matter in what seems to be beyond 'reason'.
KATANYA Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Maybe its not so much WHAT the Psychic told you but HOW you choose to interpret the information. In your post you say she told you that you would be better off to choose the good guy yet you don't give that option a second thought because you are now focused on the 'what if's' of MM leaving the jealous dark haired wife and things working out for you. Maybe you should also go back and look at the description she and you give of your MM....a liar, materialistic, cheater, married.......vs. this other man who she describes as a lover, good man, kind, honest. I find it amazing that most of us are more drawn to the bad boy that the good guy. Drawn to what we know will hurt us versus what we know will make us happy..... By the way, I've thought at almost every low point in my life that I should go see a psychic or have my cards read and never had the nerve to do it...maybe one day I will. My girlfriend (pregnant at the time) went to see a Psychic who told her she would have a boy...I know not that hard to be 50% right on that one.....but he also told her that she would be in labor for 30 hours, there would be complications but that her son would be fine and so would she. He also told her that her son would have a birthmark on his foot and this would be a kiss from her father who had passed away some years ago but who was always watching over her..............My friend delivered (after almost 29 hours in labor and finally a c-section because the baby was in distress and the heartbeat was weak) and beautiful son who she named after her father....and who had a birthmark on the bottom of his left foot.....I guess that made me a believer!

She guessed your girlfriend would have a boy. If she had a girl, but was right about everything else, then you probably would have said, well, maybe the next one will be a boy. Or, you would forget about that particular prediction because it was wrong. No doubt she said other things that were wrong or too vague to associate with anything that happened so you mentally dismissed them. Let's look at the rest: She said "30 hrs labor". You said, "almost 29 hours". So what was it? 25, 25? If it was 20, or 50 hrs, you still would say she pretty much got it right. Complications? A weak heartbeat, a C-section? More normal than not. Why didn't she predict they would do a C-section? Right, because that's a very specific detail, that could easily be wrong. Most babies are born with some distress. Again, if it was smooth sailing right until he plopped out, that particular prediction might have been written off, or you might say the pain she was in, or if she had a C-section could have been the "complication" A birthmark on the foot. Nice. Why not say which foot. Look at your own foot. Do you see a mark there? Any mark at all. Yeah, that's what I thought. Most people have something there.
wizer Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 That's not to say what they do is 'a scam'.... I agree with everything you said except that. It's a scame because they are taking money from people and professing to be something they are not. If they advertised themselves as "for entertainment only", that changes it from a scam to a fun game for people to play.
KATANYA Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Hey Wizer.......not at all disputing that there are times we can be general about things and then they can 'come true'.....My friend was in labor almost 29 hrs (being 29 hours less a few seconds) and there were many complications throughout the 29 hours.....the psychic did not know my friend, only had her first name when she went in and was given one piece of personal ppty (in this case her wedding ring). Psychic did not know my friend and my friend never told her any info at all prior to the reading. Did not tell psychic that father was deceased, let alone for how long......Of course everything can be coincidence but sometimes coincidence doesn't cover it...general would be "you will have a baby that may be a boy after a long labor and he will have a particular mark on his body that will be a kiss from a loved one who is deceased".......that would be general. To me, to say "you will have a son after a 30 hr labor and he will have a birthmark on his foot that will be a kiss from your father who is deceased" is VERY specific. Had she delivered a girl in 2 hours with no problems and no birth mark I would say no one would have thought twice about the psychic reading.........Either way, sometimes it is just nice to believe that there are things in this world we can't explain but that somehow give us comfort and/or strength when we need it the most. If the tarot reading does that for Hollaxatholy then I say let it be......I just hope consideration will ge given to the WHOLE reading, including the fact that MM is painted to be a bit of a dog while there could be a wonderful single man that may be the love of her life!!!! Good to keep your options open!
wizer Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 How does a kiss from a deceased person make a mark on someone's body? Of course it's specific to say that, but it's a statement that is impossible to proof / or refute, for that matter. And if the psychic said 30 hrs, but it was a few hours less, then she was wrong! And I'll bet the psychic didn't just come out and say the kiss was from her "deceased father". It was a kiss from an "older male relative" who is probably no longer with you. And SHE said, "yes, my father". That's how "cold reading works". The reader provides just enough information for the subject to make a match to something in their lives. If there are so many psychics, most or all of whom can predict the future, then why couldnt they predict 911, or win a lottery, or prevent crimes from being committed? Why do so called "animal psychics" not know the name of the animal? That's the one thing they should get right.
IWALH Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Tarot card readers, psychics, and the like all give me a sick feeling in my gut. I think if there is any validity with what they are saying in regards to your own life, it is just work of the devil. xMM and his W talked to psychics about me. Apparently they believed everything she told them. I guess it helped them connect and bond with each other better and helped appease her (the w). I know he doesn't believe them like she does... but it gives her a sense of control over me and the situation. Like she knows me and what my motives were and who I am because of this psychic.

If they advertised themselves as "for entertainment only", that changes it from a scam to a fun game for people to play. I think theres NO way to convince you of this psychic thing, and noone is even trying to but u keep insisting that it's not possible anyways. I'm not saying that it isn't possible that it is some sort of scam...and maybe they are just that good but i don't know, i gave her nothing to go on and she came up with the story of my life right now, if she'd good enough to do that...hell, give her $10...everyone has to make a living, people like this stuff, let her go...no big deal. you can choose to believe it or you can not. I just think theres NO way she could of pulled that out of a hat, and guessed my situation, just by seeing my face...and I don't see any marks on my foot...plus, my mom had an experience with a psychic..and she said this guy was stalking her, and her friend who is really in to the whole psychic thing..she took her to see one and she told her the guys name, and kind of like a description of him and it turned out to be true. it was someone my mom had seen before. I mean..I don't know. I'm not really someone who would of believed it before, I actually planned to be disapointed when I went in there. I don't know though....i just thought it was cool.
Author hollaxatholly Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 I really liked your story, about your friend. I'm really amazed at all this lol I never really paid any attention to the whole psychic stuff..my aunts were all into it when i was growing up so i'd always see them sitting around reading coffee and stuff lol was too young to participate or anything though. anyways, i HAVE paid attention to the whole reading...it really made me think about the married man. Of course, right now, i am hoping for him to want me back and leave his wife...but i have also given alot of thought to what it would mean if he DID do that...and just what kind of a man he might be. i can't say that i'm happy with it...i mean i was happy to hear about him...but it also made me a little unhappy because if what she said IS true..then i also have to consider the fact that she said he is a materialistic liar...so, it's not a good thing. It does make me happy, and it made me think...that she said there is another man. I mean OBVIOUSLY there is another man out there for me...but i didn't even want to CONSIDER it...but i don't know..i guess just the reassuring from her..it really made me think..that if he doesn't come back, or even if he does, there really is another choice..and he might come sooner than i thought..and that makes me see that i have the option to even reject the man if given the choice... I don't know...I'm just waiting to see what the outcome is AND enjoying this peace of mind i've gotten for a minute... I'm also a little anxious! lol to see if it's true or not...hearing all the stories about the psychics stories being true...i wanna see if she's right about me! lol Hey Wizer.......not at all disputing that there are times we can be general about things and then they can 'come true'.....My friend was in labor almost 29 hrs (being 29 hours less a few seconds) and there were many complications throughout the 29 hours.....the psychic did not know my friend, only had her first name when she went in and was given one piece of personal ppty (in this case her wedding ring). wizer Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Everyone is welcome to their own beliefs, and I wish you all well, regardless of what they are. But please use common sense and don't throw piles of money at these people and don't make life decisions based on what you are told. And of course, everything they tell you about the future is positive. Did you ever notice that?
