OK, this situation did not involve me, but I've been arguing with a friend about whether or not the behavior of the people involved was suspect or not. I think it was utterly tacky, my friend thinks it's no problem. The reason I care is that the guy involved is my ex and it's affecting my thoughts about whether I would ever get back together with him; I think he behaved really badly and I lost a lot of respect for him.

The story is how he got involved with his current girlfriend. She was dating a good friend of his; theyd' been dating about 6 weeks, and they invited my ex to have a drink with them. At some point, when her boyfriend was away from teh table. she gave my ex her # and said to call her. He didn't, but didn't tell his friend, and when he ran into her again she told him she was going to break up with his friend. They started dating (don't know if it was before or after she actually broke up with the guy),and my ex never told his friend he was dating her, even though his friend was really upset and trying to get her back, and talked to my ex about her. Finally, he found out they were together because he saw some photos of them together.

Anyway, I think 1) it was totally tacky of her to hit on her boyfriend's friend and 2) it was an awful thing for him to do to his friend and 3) why would you want to go out with a person that would do that to the person they were with before you???

Any opinions?
