DazedandConfused66 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Sex=Throwing a bullet. Making Love=Shooting a bullet. Making Love at age 75=Realizing that sex is just one way to 'make love' 3 sentences...sort of. Did I pass the test?
shadowofman Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Seems like in your initial discussion you are arguing semantics, not philosphical, psychological nor biological distinctions. Unless I'm misunderstanding and you ARE asserting that sex with someone you love is/feels no different than with an insignificant. are you? Sex with different people feels different. Sex with my current love feels different that sex with my ex loves. All I'm saying is that "making love" is just a romantic way of saying "sex with the one you love". Other than that, there is no difference. Although.... W says people can make love without sex... as in thinking of her and buying her flowers, surprising her with a romantic getaway for the two of you, calling her at work to tell her how beautiful she is... Thoughts? Well now it just a romantic way of saying that your expressing your love for someone. Sure, I'll buy that. It's just a semantic argument! My point is that you can call it a difference, but no one acts like it a real difference.
Trialbyfire Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 What's the difference between the US dollar and the Peso? It's all currency.
HotnBothered Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 You can "make love" and "have sex" with some one you "love" or "not love". It is the feeling you have inside when your done. You either had sex or made love. You will know. Everyone is different/has different feelings.
popey Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 are all sexual encounters with someone you "love" called making love? i mean, i dont know. there are some sweet sexual moments at times but also the rough do me now and in every position type of raw wild sex- which im guessing some wouldn't consider "making love" even though it is with the person you do love. Not to me. the intensely passionate, inhibitions down, ravenous feeling is fueled by intense love, emotional security and connectedness for me.
Ocean-Blue Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 This thread goes to prove that it's all RELATIVE. What's sex to you is different from what sex means to me. My version of making love may = sex to another. And then there are those who don't even make the distinction. That's the whole point, no?

Doubt&Wonder Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 SEX is for the pleasure of it all - physical. LOVE is being given a glimpse into heaven, if but for a moment - emotional feeling.
