nyc_transplant Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Hello all, I am going on a trip and I will have access to an outdoor, non-heated, swimming pool. It's going to be too cold to swim in my trunks, so I am thinking about buying a wet suit. There are many kinds of them, and I am thoroughly confused. Any advice? Me
cbdives Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 How cold will the water be? To just knock the chill off (80 to 83F) a 3 mil shorty is good Joe
Trialbyfire Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Wuss...... I should have put up a smilie face to go with that. It was a joke. If you want limited warmth, try suits made of Neoprene: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoprene
alterego1234 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 If you're going swimming you should look at suits that are designed for that -- triathlon suits might fit the bill. Lots of wetsuits are designed for snorkling and scubadiving and thus don't have the flexibility in the shoulders to support real swimming. ae
