so I hear lots of people in this forum whom have dumped their (now) exs; nevertheless they still try to keep contact with the dumpees while the dumpees try to stay in NC.

The answers to many of these situations are that the dumpers (especially if they are women) try to stay in touch because of their ego. They want to feel still loved and desired from the person they have just dumped.

On the other hand, there are other situations where people have dumped because they didn't feel loved enough and although they haven't been dumped (yet) they decide to make the first move before they get hurt. They dump and just try to move on telling the other no to contact them anymore.

In this scenario, what would the dumpee's most common reaction be, assuming that this person is still in love. Would he/she try to get in contact or just keep distance because he/she is hurt and expect the other to start contact. What are the most common signs that this person is still in love with you, but for some reason cannot show the feeling, because he/she has been dumped?
