Movie...About Last Night

So I watched some 1986 movie the other night. Was called About Last Night. Had Demi Moore and Rob Lowe in it.

Pretty much about 2 people who meet up at a bar, sparks fly, and a few months later they move in. After some time they start to get settled in and then he thinks he no longer loves her. She moves out,she tells him to stop calling, some time goes by on their own, and after a few months apart they both realize what they had and they start over from scratch.

I normally am not into movies like that but some of the things that took place in the movie were eerily familiar with some of the stuff you see on here.

NC

Grass is Greener

Start nit picking at small details and lose sight of the big picture

Is it love or lust

Taking time to "figure things out"

I wont give away everything but both end up pursuing things that they wanted to do thus "finding themselves" and re-approach each other in a different way. Good movie for those looking to put things into real world terms (of course not everyone will end up like they did...it is a movie)

I like how you say "real world terms" and its a movie. Just playing, but yeah if only things turned out like they do in the movies. How are you doing with your situation anyway Niceguy, you havnt been on the thread in a while. You are on NC right?

real world meaning not some "Pretty Woman" type movie. All smoke and mirrors. This one seems a lot more down to earth than those. Good movie for people wanting to put things in perspective.

well...read the last part of my thread "Finally wrote the Letter" in coping:

This all happened Thursday of last week. This will be my first week starting NC. Its all I have left. Time for me now. Only after some time if/when I decide to contact her again I will be able to do so being my old self. IT sucks majorly but I had to accept things and start to do it on my own. I put so much into it that I deserve more now. But I've accepted things and am moving on.

I will always love her deeply as we were both able to be ourselves (I can never forget that about her) and loved each other for that. She just lost the "spark".

I'm going to have to rent that movie, it's been a long time since I've seen that one.

I did see Class recently! Remember that one? Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy and Jaqueline Bisset...
